Baba Automobile Lab

Lab Objectives

• To familiarize the students with the working of different Automobile Engines.
• To acquaint the students with the different Automobile Engine Parts and their functions and materials.
• To provide them an insight into the shortcomings of the existing technology.
• To develop new technologies to overcome the existing shortcomings.
• To explain to the students the various Automobile Systems used.

Lab Outcomes

On completion of this course learner will be able to
• Identify the different parts of an I.C. Engine and Automobile Systems
• Explain the working, functions and construction of the I.C. Engine and Automobile Systems
• Compare the various different technologies used by the manufacturers in their engines
• Judge the effectiveness, merits and demerits of the engine design
• Design new technologies to ideally replace existing ones.

Mechatol Lab

Mechatol Engineering Solutions is an Engineering Design Solution and Consulting company based in Pune; India. MechaTol provides end-to-end designing solutions using world’s best in class technology – SolidWorks. MechaTol has created direct impact to several organizations by exponentially increasing design efficiencies through 3D CAD Training/Implementation, GD&T, Assembly Clearance/ Interference Detection With a wide expertise in implementation and customization of SolidWorks across varied industries – from AUTOMOTIVE, CONSTRUCTION, HYDRAULICS, PROCESS, OIL & GAS, POWER to ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS, MEDICAL, MATERIAL HANDLING, PROJECT CONSULTANCY and ROBOTICS.

VISHWANIKETAN-MECHATOL lab is a joint-venture of the Vishwaniketan’s iMEET, Khalapur and Mechatol Engineering Solution, Pune sponsored by Mechatol Engineering Solutions.

The objective of this lab is to train the students to solve Industry problems. Students will get hands on Experience in providing Design solutions for actual customer requirements. Apart from providing training to the students it will also give consultancy to various Industry Problems.

Lab Objectives

• To acquaint the students with latest software used to solve Industry Problems.
• To give insight to the students regarding Geometrical Drawing and Tolerances (GD & T).
• To apply Engineering Problem solving techniques to solve real time Industry Problems.
• To give students hands-on experience in providing design solutions for actual customer requirements.
• To develop product design capability among students so as to create Entrepreneurship from Graduate Engineers.

• Training students to read Industry Drawings and CAD Software.
• To provide sponsored Industry Projects.
• To develop product design capability among students.
• To provide consultancy to Industry for Design and Product Development.

Important Guidelines

• Entry to the lab without permission is prohibited.
• Signatures in attendance register are must before and after the work hours.
• Please keep your footwear outside the lab.
• Maintain silence and discipline in the lab.
• Cell Phones, Pen drives, Camera or other such devices are prohibited inside the lab.
• No one is allowed to take data in any form outside the lab as we have signed confidentiality agreement with Mechatol Engineering Solutions.
• Follow the time slot allotted to complete the tasks.
